Ok people,

I’m particularly excited this week because not one but TWO special events are coming up, the first ‘Dream Team’ match, and the upcoming premiere of AGR ‘v3’  (more info below). There will be a full article during the week, and a testing session announced soon. Those on the AGR Mailing List please check your emails during the week for important info that will affect YOU. If you’re NOT on the AGR mailing list, send an email to , and get with the program! In the meantime, in this everchanging world in which we live in, let us rejoice in the triumph and survival of that Jungle of Judgement we all know as the:

What: Weekly AGR Session

Where: tastyspleen.net:26666

When: Sunday 22:00 GMT. Convert this to your timezone here.

Who: TF fans of the year 2011!

Why: Because the game lives!

MAP SCHEDULE

1. north1 (50 minutes*)
A brilliant start to a (hopefully) brilliant Session

2. 2night2 (60 minutes*)
Ok, this will be epic, I believe i may have mentioned previouslty that RR is the smart way, FR D the newbie panic way. If you want to feel smart and competent, D in the RR. If you want to feel overwhelmed and struggling, and/or want to keep rebuilding your stuff(if you’re an eng) every 2 minutes, then stick to FR D.

3. caverns (60 minutes*)
REALLY looking forward to this. Control of the side tunnel will mean victory for Blue. Ignoring the side tunnel will mean a pointless slaughter match for Blue.

4. canyon (60 minutes*)
Always a pleasure. Blue are going to need RR D, AND water D, to give the FR engies breathing space.

* times may vary depending on player numbers, vibe, and quality of teamplay.

OMC’s tip: If a player is trolling a game with non-game related chit-chat, and an admin hasn’t kicked/muted/silenced them yet, you can ignore them, by typing ‘ignore <username>’

AGR3 CODING CHANGES
The coding for AGR v3 is nearly complete. AGR v2 of course debuted over the course of four weeks in May 2010 (have you read OMCs interview w AGR Mania magazine?), and these latest changes are really cutting edge, and will make the game bigger, better, fairer, and more rewarding all round. A brief summary is as follows: more action, improved VWEPS, fewer slaughtermatches, new graphics, a new ‘tough map’ mode, angrier grunties, more human grunties, more vomit, more security, fairer gameplay, and overall more insanity, and chaos!

THE DREAM TEAM
This, has been a long time coming, and the time for action is NOW. If you are interested in being part of an organised team, fighting against multiple attackers (and if you’re reading these words I know that you are), then head to the AGR forum right now, express your interest, and be part of TF history!

See you all Sunday!

  • Piper

I liked new version of AGR. More dynamic, easy bunnyhopping (nice), faster. Cool

The session was pretty good. Lot of action and hardcore work. TF orgasmus.

Yes and may be we’ll try to make podcast in session overview with vids. May be. In order to promote the mod. There was lot of really FUNNY moments bring me to new level of GG. Niiiice.

    1. north1 (50 minutes*)
    action: 7/10
    teamplay: 8/10
Pretty good def, prety good offence but not too smart. GG indeed.
    7-7 score

    2. 2night2 (60 minutes*)
5 restarts, GG, very enojed, red win
    action: 9/10
    teamplay: 6/10

    3. caverns (60 minutes*)
ROFLed, many restartd – NO chance for blue guyz, flying Haze and co – owned.
    action: 7/10
    teamplay: 3/10

    4. canyon (60 minutes*)
    action: 7/10
    teamplay(red): 7/10
    teamplay(blue): 5/10

Nice teamplay for reds..Red 20 mins got total ownage, very smart and good play. I feel like red start to play really good teamwork. Sniping tunnel is good idea, why u quit it blue?
    ————-
And i managed to make NEW WORLD record for detting players in the official match (canyon), I detted 6 players at once, you will see demo with this and many other moments.

    1. north1
Good, but it didn’t feel like Red were REALLY trying.

    2. 2night2 (60 minutes*)
Apart from the (10 mins?) time when Blue covered the RR, this was woeful.

    3. caverns
A disorganised mess. Blue didn’t have an eng setup in the FR, the side tunnel was full of Reds.. I made some stupid decisions too… I’d rather pretend this game never happened. DEFINITELY a candidate for a DreamTeam game.

    4. canyon
Good! Blue worked to a plan, and once Blue had a full time water tunnel closer, Red struggled, and some gave up! Wimps!

In spite of the woeful teamwork, it was actually (overall) a GREAT Session, action wise.
