An *awesome* Session! Demos are up
    dkeep1, 2fort5r, well6, 2night2, ALL worth watching again, esp 2night2!!

OMC, we rly did not have normal DEF on 2 night2, so red nothing to be proud of.

Yeah and it’s funny to play red with spy/thief/tele classes when blue is not co-ordinted team, not rly funny. And red feel like they are cool, not they not its due blue was not good team/played.

In the demo, go to Einajihajinabod and make sure you set it to view from first person mode. (I’m explaining this in case you don’t notice this) Watch how the crosshair acts when there are two targets, it hovers in between them as if it is connected to both targets with rubberbands. Allow me to expound further: Whether using a keyboard, mouse, trackball, or gamepad, regular movement of aim is smooth. A person’s aim doesn’t tremble between targets.

The crosshair still “locks on” frequently, but since it’s a rocket launcher it stays a couple steps ahead of the target.

I only post all this because I just can’t bring myself to believe that you guys are all okay with allowing someone to cheat.

      Anyway, see you later.

Cool session but never have really like playing 2night2. Just too much of the base is easily bypassed, the flagroom alone has 3 different entrances. Over rated map in my opinion.
Hate to say it but bottle neck maps seem to suit AGR best. Playing against grapple tanks, airfisting spammers, psion/mirv spies etc makes you realise this.
Always have preferred smaller maps. fcast/cloudy type maps are as big as they should go unless we have 18+ players

To attain victory, it is imperative that Blue both harnesses the power of traps AND spreads the defense across a wide area, stretching out the zone the enemy has to fight through.

Mines, Pipebombs, Grunts, Demons, Gas/Nail/Frag grenades, Sentryguns, forcefields and a chaplain. Force enemies to check every corner, and then choose a path or two to guard and block another path with your body if possible.

Red’s strategies: Spy/Spammers, Hoppers, Pathcutters, and Basetakers.

Spy/Spammers: Cross the map as quickly as they can and avoid combat, instead throwing tossable grenades to eliminate obstacles while remainining disguised (which is bullshit and shouldn’t be allowed because if they fire a weapon they instantly undisguise so why not a tossable, one of the most powerful weapons in the game? Same thing with Chaplain…you can’t attack…EXCEPT WITH FUCKING EXPLOSIVES. Yeah, that wouldn’t interupt singing at all!).

Hoppers: Move across the map as fast as possible and avoid combat whenever possible. Sometimes the more fuckheaded ones like to use things like MAUSER (one-hit kills instantly, that’s fun and challenging, right?). They usually spam tossables to clear obstacles just like spies.

Drillers: These players take their time working their way through the enemy base, fighting enemies and taking down traps. A good example of ‘Driller’ behavior: In QDeth3 on Red I realized the enemy had at least TWO demomen piping the spiral, so I recustomized to get krac grenades so that I was able to clear pipe fields and fight the demomen. I didn’t usually make it to the flag room, but I was able to push in far enough that others were able to finish off the weakened demomen and get to the flag.

Basetakers: These players specialize in harassing the enemy. Typically they buy ‘trap’ items and summons to take over sections of the enemy base. Nothing slows down rebuilding defenses like getting to your basement only to find that the enemy has a sentrygun, a grunt, and a teleporter with their teammates pouring in. Spawncampers fall into this category as well, but all you have to do to counter a spawncamp is get spawn protection.
