border1 server

Post by ripednail »

Hi i am wanting to setup a linux tf server and i was wondering about setting up bots. I was also wondering if there was the ability to create weighpoints for them to follow?

I was thinking a slightly modified border1 map with a constant flood of bots crossing border would make a good 4vs4 game.

I've only dabbled in waypoints and bots, so I'm not the guy to advise.. By 'setting up' I'm not sure if you mean using an existing mod, or making one, ie programming the bots yourself. IIUC Frikbot is the standard bot that all students of Quake AI study.

Constant flood of bots sounds like fun ..

Perhaps that could also be done with quake monster waves? Zombie waves? On a custom map.
