Really good smaller maps

Post by OneManClan »

Hi people!

There are some REALLY interesting maps which offer awesome gameplay for under 10 people. Some of them are lesser known, and many have really undescriptive (ie crap) names. This is gonna be an evolving, constantly edited list, your contributions welcome:

4+ ppl
2mach1
spit
dkeep1
dkeep2
qdeth
sfort (multiple teleports to the FR)
north1

6+ ppl
2phan7
2ds2
rstrong
fcast
2farms
laser2 (that alternative exit straight to the RR makes this map unreasonably tough)

I've got a ton of maps but I can't remember how to play maps offline to look at them. I would sure like to play maps that we haven't played before or not in years. And I'm only looking for small maps since TF1 is on it's last legs.

Well, as we've seen in the last few months, there's only so many maps you can play with 2 vs 2, but with just 3 vs 3, if all 6 players are focused, the bigger maps CAN be played. The TF2K we played last weekend was REALLY good, I had no idea it could be played 3 vs 3. Of course a certain player went Red sniper, and the action fizzled.

Anyway, yea, 2 vs 2 is tricky, but w ppl playing properly, the bigger maps can be played w just 3 vs 3.

All this is so far in the past my neuron is nealy devoid of useful information but it sure reacts on the physical level to names such as 2mach1, spit and qdeth :-)

That's awesome. We've played AGR on van, I love it (very tough to D though!)!
I'll check out your other maps asap and report back!

2ndcoup / Second Coup / Dominance / Jonan

Asymmetrical map, probably not hard to add the AGR ents in.

Perhaps wall off (floor off) the roof access. Like the grate in rock2.
