Ok guys,
A lot of people have expressed a preference for moving the Weekly AGR Sessions to every Saturday 22:00 GMT, ie exactly 24 hours earlier than now. The BIG question is - will this cause problems for anyone? Will anyone be NOT able to make Saturday Sessions?
Let's get some feedback, before we discuss this further
thanks.

Re: Move Weekly AGR Session to Saturdays??
Ok so we have our first 'no'.
The thing is.. I have no way of knowing whether these votes have come from people on the AGR Mailing List ( of whom many only play occasionally ) or the regulars, who play every week, who are (of course) a priority. In hindsight I should have asked ppl to post, so we know who is voting for what. Also this way we can know who has or hasn't voted yet. [EDIT: And how many yesses come from people who currently cant make the Sunday Sessions?)
So could everyone please post to say how they voted? And your comments/feedback is welcome, especially the (1 guy so far) who said 'no'.

Also, note that the poll is set up so you can change your vote at any time.

I can't say that if we change I will be here every week, but I will be able to play more as the current time is Monday morning for me.

Re: Move Weekly AGR Session to Saturdays??
I voted 'I don't care' as at the moment I can do either. 10/11pm on a saturday night will be the start time and inevitably I'll miss half the session some weekends as I'll be out being sociable. My commitment to Quake isn't unbreakable you see.
Ultimately in the long run Saturdays will work out better as struggling to get up at 7am Monday when you finish playing Quake around 2/3am is very difficult!

Re: Move Weekly AGR Session to Saturdays??
THIS is the reason they were scheduled for Sundays, so that people can go out on a Saturday night.. Otoh, the POLL shows a clear preference. Otoh, maybe many voting are married old timers who don't go out on on Sat nights anyway. Otoh young teens/nerds (the next generation of AGR players!!?!) are home, too young to go out. Otoh they will start to go out, and then have to pick between AGR and having a sexlife - Flaps > Caps. Otoh the macho 'he man' types who play AGR don't need to go out on a Saturday night, they're at home, leaving 2-3 exhausted girls in their beds, as they log on to the AGR Server and get down to the REAL 'business' of the night. Otoh, maybe that's just me. Otoh maybe I just made that bit up. Or did I?rincewind wrote:10/11pm on a saturday night will be the start time and inevitably I'll miss half the session some weekends as I'll be out being sociable.
The Poll result so far is pretty.. persuasive.
