Weekly AGR Session: March 27 2011

Hey people!!!!!!

Ok, I’m VERY excited because due to other commitments, it’s been three weeks(!) since I’ve been able to play an entire Session, and this week we have Spamadellica – the place where ALL firepower can be unleashed with NO FEAR of reciprocity! So let the Gibs fly and make sure you read down below of the groundbreaking new code which will be premiering this week at the Altar of Artistry we refer to as the:

What: Weekly AGR Session

Where: tastyspleen.net:26666

When: Sunday 22:00 GMT. Convert this to your timezone here

Who: People who need to throw a lot of grenades

Why: Because today you can go nuts!

MAP SCHEDULE
[Note: last Sunday of the month = Spamadellica = TeamDamage=off, MirrorDamage=off]

1. invade4a 2mach1 (50 minutes*)
It was gonna be invade4a, but I want to get started on time, and invade needs at least 10 players to get a  decent game happening, so here’s 2mach1 great little starter map, with BIG action!

2. TF2k (60 minutes)
I’ll probably go Red first, then switch to Blue after the (inevitable?) restart. It’s a tough map to D so .. if anyone wants to show their skillz go Blue.

3. invade4a /2brave1 (60 minutes*)
I JUST CAN’T DECIDE about this map choice, noone has actually requested it, so let me know, loyal reader, if there’s any other map you prefer. I might put it to a vote on the day.

4.  z7 (60 minutes)
We played an amazing post session z7 last week, looking forward to the Spamadellic version, AND I’ve got a new D I wanna try out. No Clues. 🙂

* times may vary depending on player numbers, vibe, and quality of teamplay.

    Sexy time yeahhh. Niccce.

I really not a fun of SPAMadelitca but it’s kinda cool to have 4 dets.
I prefer Rock2 or Impact or Cliff for 3th map but OMC’s maps choice is cool.

I like invade4a its my favorite map, because of all you can do in it, but it really makes people ragequit.

“Urr whole enemy team is invisible and quadded! wtfff”

    So… dont let that happen?

anyway, how about rock2 either as 3 or 5th map?

    Mini review:
2mach1: Very gg. Chaotic, took the full restarts and a forced teamswap iirc to get the game happening and it was brilliant. Lots of outside action.
TF2k: Moments of ugh, but moments of VERY gg. It’s a very tricky chaotic map, and only when Blue stayed in the area in front of the FR, did things stabilise. I wasted too much time trying to eng, should have gotten mines earlier.
invade4a: Didn’t particularly enjoy this, it had it’s moments, but there wasn’t any teamwork feeling.
z7: ok game. There was about 15 minutes of magic, but much of the time Red was wasting time w solo runs. At one point I went chap, and sat in the water room waiting for like 2 minutes for teammates who never came..

I really think it’s time to get the Dream team concept on the road. 4-5 players Defending against all comers, strategy vs numbers. There were some awesome moments in todays Session, but there should have been more.

Man of the match became Haze – crazy ataking demoman style with emp, airfist, gren drops to your pipetrap – lol. He was kinda airfist my pipetrap to me and tesla and at the same time it blown by EMP and gren. Reds was kinda sucking for 1st 30 mins.
