Rock2ober 2014: 2 days before

THE SURPRISE IS REVEALED ..
As I say in the video, because last year we had technical issues with the pre-match show, I’ve decided to reveal it early. Yea, yea the surprise is spoiled, but hey, otoh you get to experience it alone.. rather than w a bunch of players rudely distracting you with rockets to the head, so maybe it’s better this way. So, download the official client NOW, connect to the server NOW,  and check out the surprise NOW .. and let me know (ie NOW!) if there are any technical difficulties. And please do it NOW!, because, there will be:

NO TECHNICAL SUPPORT AVAILABLE ON THE DAY!!
That’s right, so PLEASE do ALL your connecting, and configuring, and registering NOW, and contact me with ANY issues NOW, because on the day… I will be just another excited player, 100% focused on experiencing ROCK2OBER!

[EDIT] As requested, I will be on the AGR server tomorrow(Friday 24th) at 23:00 GMT/19:00 EST to fix/deal with any technical issues people might have!

LAST MINUTE DOUBTS..
Should I have asked people to email me, to commit, so we’d know by now how many ppl will be there? It was cool in years gone by to have a running total. As it is, we have no way of knowing whether we’ll get 9 or 29 players.. I suppose it will be a surprise on the day. Should I have personally emailed people to ask them to play? I know this would have motivated more ppl to come, but by now, I really believe AGR can speak for itself, people should play because they want to, not because I ask them to. Otoh it wouldn’t have taken long, and even one or two extra players can make a difference. I forgot to contact the Quake related facebook groups, not sure how interested they’d be in actually playing, and I’m sure someone has told them about Rock2ober.. maybe I’ll do a last minute post .. I don’t want anyone feeling that they weren’t ‘invited’..
