AGR VENTRILLO SERVER
We use a voice chat ventrillo for voice chat during AGR games. Download it, install it, and connect to 78.129.193.9, port 4298, AGR (Red+Blue) channels. Password is sent to those on the AGR Mailing List, but if you ask nicely during the game, someone might help you out.

Today’s Session had to be cancelled due to technical difficulties. Apologies to those who turned up, only to be disappointed. Surprisingly, the issue had nothing to do with AGRv4, which as I said in the video was not used for this Session. The problem was/is some bug in the latest version of the server software, which was causing intermittent crashes. I got so involved with helping with the debugging procedure, that (yes it pains me to say this) I forgot that there was a backup of an earlier version of the server we could have used(!) So its my fault too, it pains me to admit.
At the same time, the link to the experimental FTE client which I mentioned in the video was (temporarily) dead, because of an update. Why wasn’t the older one available at the link whilst the new one was being prepared? Because I didn’t tell them that I was going to (finally) give out the link, the link which had always been up for me to download from! So today’s Session was a comedy of errors, coincidences, and good old fashioned f**k ups. Personally, I feel robbed of my weekly fix of AGR Action (grrrr!), and am pushing for a make-up/substitute Session, tomorrow, or Tuesday. Just an hour of small focussed brutal TF. Maybe at a different/crazy GMT time so the Europeans can play at a sane time like 8pm or something (for once), though with people working fulltime, it might not be possible. Let me know, use the timezone convertor, I can send an email to those on the AGR Mailing List, for those who can’t normally make the Sessions (Gnarler, Dickie Knee, the list goes on) Otherwise, we’ll have to leave it till Sunday 24th, which hopefully will be a massive bug free Session, with a whole bunch of newbies who come ‘face to face’ with the new AGR 🙂
