    Map schedule:

    2towers1
    rock2/ditch2
    tf2k

See you all in 7 hours (it’s 3pm here)

  • Beltan

    I’ll be there. I vote ditch2.

I’m leaning toward defense tonight but I’ll have to see what teams look like when I join. I think I’m going to chaplan again, the more I do it the more I see it as being extremely powerful both offensively and defensively. On red, your teammates tend to stick together much better and survive to push further into blue territory. On defense you can turn a chokepoint into a nearly impassable wall, forcing the enemy to kill or counter you in order to proceed.

Does anyone else think Chaplan shouldn’t be able to throw grenades?

  • Sapphired

Propose to ban someone for a month or so and we can test how session will be.

If no ban i should NOT join every Sunday

  • Sapphired

Just realize most of player join to play TF for fun or serious, they do play, mean while one full retarded person run around like a kid, asking attention and doing full retarded perfomance without any clue…

So its time to say goodbuy AGR, it’s no more fun play in such way..every time.. thank u kind OMC for letting Doc play, ruin some games and make harm to our enviroment.

    • OneManClan

I don’t know if you noticed, but a certain player was banned today. Unfortunately as you also saw, there are still ways for banned people to connect, so I’ll be making changes to the registration system to minimise the distraction and damage non-registered people can potentially do to games.

      • Sapphired

Yes, it’s a pity that we are not eble to resist 1-2 full retarded trolls who still ruining our sessions depending on trolls mood.

This place become too dirty, think its good time to quit AGR or play other communities with better and working rules.

        • Beltan

Sapph, you have to make the decision whether or not to leave based on your own feelings, you can’t count on change in this community. I thought my leaving might be cause enough for improvement in the community, but when I came back after my time away I saw the same thing happening.

There’s an element being allowed to strangle AGR to death slowly. It’s inevitable unless there’s a change. This isn’t about mercy, it’s about not allowing one or two people to ruin the game for everyone else. AGR needs an enforcer: A **TRUSTWORTHY** person who has the authority to mute/cuff/ban anyone who they catch griefing (this includes cheating, of course, as it ruins the game for others).

            Just a reminder:
            1. I’m there as a player, not an admin. Unless I see something, how can I know what allegation is true, or false? This is why:

            2. Players can vote to mute/cuff/ban other players at any time. If someone is really being a dick others will notice, and vote yes. This is especially fair because:

            3. Only registered players can vote, so all votes are by trusted, legitimate players.

            4. As you saw however, there are ways around being banned, but this is a quakeworld issue, not an AGR issue. A solution is being worked on.

          • Beltan

Having a voting system is fine when players pay attention and vote fairly, but there have been times I was repeatedly harassed and teamkilled and I alerted everyone in all chat multiple times, then initiated votes twice. Noone voted so the griefer gleefully kept harassing me. I got everyone’s attention when I spawnblocked in retaliation, though- and then was votepunished. However, it took 20 minutes…and that was when I BROUGHT THE GAME TO A STANDSTILL FOR BLUE. Votepunish is a subpar solution because people seldom notice unless the wrongdoing is happening to them.

The person who enforces the rules can be a player as long as they don’t abuse their power. When there is a complaint you need someone who is willing to take the time to spectate to verify and act accordingly.

Give me the authority and a list of basic commands and I’ll do it.

Hell, I’ll even let Doc play if he doesn’t act like a fuckoff.

  • StanTheMan

I agree with you Saph. So long AGR, it wasn’t fun while it lasted.

  • Wolfgang

I am surprised by Sapphired reaction to all this and why this session he says he’ll quit. It’s not like Doc’s trolling was particularly bad this session. Even I wasn’t playing seriously on tf2k and red still won despite both me and doc setting det packs in our own base.

Anyway, my point is most of us still play seriously. There are a few players who claim to play seriously but their class choices and bot-like behaviour seriously make me wonder.

In short, keep on playing Sapph and don’t let trolls get to you

    • Beltan

“It’s not like Doc’s trolling was particularly bad this session.” Yeah, just bad enough that ONEMANCLAN HIMSELF BANNED DOC.

If you and Doc want to wank each other off, could you go do it on a private server instead of screwing EVERYONE?

      • Wolfgang

Far as I’m concerned Doc (troll) has got away with too much on AGR. What I find slightly amusing is that you, Saph and resident Doc hater Stan only start piping up about him on TF2K. Not only did he announce what he was going to do way before he did but the funny part is Doc’s team still won.

My point to all this, votes, admin action need to act quicker on offenders (Doc). I’d rather loose trolls (90% Doc doesn’t play serious) than any of the players complaining about him.

        • Beltan

Announcing that your going to ruin the game does not in any way make it more acceptable, and neither does your team winning despite your griefing (go screw yourself for that, by the way).

I left to eat supper and when I came back TF2K was in shambles. I worked on helping the defense out, but a sniper (the sniper especially) were really devestating blue’s base.

If a player purposefully ruins the game they should be punished right there. I guarantee doc wouldn’t ruin any games if he was banned when he started griefing- tell you something else, even if we don’t contact the griefer’s ISP to ban him permanently, you could cuff him as soon as he rejoins as punishment for ban avoidance.

However, I do recommending contacting his ISP for a permaban.

The question has always been: Would you rather have one griefer, or a bunch of people who actually give a damn about AGR?

Your actions have resoundingly answered that question time after time. I gave up when you made doc an admin, I don’t expect correction, I’m just here to get a few more minutes of CustomTF over the next 15 or 20 sessions before the griefers run everyone else out.

OMC, the forum needs streamlining somewhat. It would help if guest could view the post (not reply) and given you have to register why do post need authorizing?
Can almost see the tumbleweeds blowing through the forum. I’d rather discuss points like all of the above in the forum and arrive at some constructive result. I don’t want players leaving AGR because of players like Doc.

No login to view post and no authorizing post before everyone can see it. I’d imagine players would post more then

    • OneManClan

I agree. The forum needs attention, and (as I said in this weeks vid) I’m considering consolidating all the comments to the forum section. Currently we have youtube comments, the wordpress site’s comments (ie here), and the forum. I like to be able to easily find and contribute to a discussion that started (eg) a year ago, and forums allow that. And make it possible for the people who pop in every month or so to easily see whats been going on.

I’ll make the changes you suggest as soon as I have time, and as soon as I remember how to edit the software – it was AGES ago that I set it up, and my brain has been preoccupied with other stuff.
